Calling All Triangle Exvangelicals!

We are thrilled to announce that Secular Women of the Triangle will be partnering with Project 21:12 in 2026 to bring opportunities to our exvangelical (former evangelical) members and exvangelicals in the Triangle with our first event on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 1pm at Raleigh United Mutual Aid Hub (RUMAH).

This will be our first gathering of Triangle area Exvangelicals who are interested in connecting with one another and organizing campaigns to intervene in evangelical authoritarian power-building. This meet-up will be informal and will include time to get to know one another, share experiences, and discuss ideas for potential organizing efforts in the area. This event is open to anyone who identifies as formerly evangelical, regardless of where they are on that journey, whether they are currently religious or not religious.

Project 21:12 “aims to provide clear on-ramps for community-building and solidarity organizing to former evangelicals (“Exvangelicals” or “post-evangelicals”) in order to help folks make meaning of their experiences, be emboldened in community with others, and take action to diminish the power of rising Christian Nationalism fueled in part by evangelical leaders, while building the power of a social justice solidarity movement.” Find out more here: https://www.project2112.org/.

This event aligns with our advocacy efforts to partner with like-minded organizations that share our values, enabling us to work towards a more just and equitable society informed by reason, science, and human dignity—not religious dogma.

Please be sure to register on the Action Network website to stay informed about the event and and allow us to plan.
